Monash University Centre for Brain and Behaviour (MUCBB)

The Monash University Centre for Brain and Behaviour (MUCBB) was established by the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in 2003 to bring together teams of scientists and clinicians from across the university and its affiliated centres and institutes to tackle major research challenges in the field of neuroscience.

Monash neuroscientists conduct leading edge research and clinical investigation in key areas of neuroscience, including Alzheimer's Disease, autism,stroke, sensory physiology, perinatal brain injury, neurotrauma, Huntington's Disease, cognition, control of movement, bipolar affective disorder and schizophrenia, and neuroinflammation.

The aims of the Centre include facilitating multi-disciplinary, cross-faculty research collaborations, building research capacity in the neurosciences, and promoting the value of neuroscience research to the community, government and industry.
