HonoursHonours in Bachelor of Biomedical SciencesThe honours degree builds upon the knowledge and experience gained in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science and is designed to develop students' research skills, allows participants to learn specific techniques and gain a border understanding of the biomedical sciences. Students can undertake their research project within the Faculty or at one of the affiliated institutes such the Baker Medical Research Institute, McFarlane Centre for Medical Research, Mental Health Research Institute or the Prince Henry's Institute of Medical Research. Honours in Bachelor of Nutrition and DieteticsThis program will allow participants to develop their research skills and competencies, learn specific techniques and gain a deeper understanding of a selected aspect of human nutrition. The program consists of an individual major research project and a compulsory coursework component. Projects can be chosen from either clinical or community/population nutrition areas and will be supervised by an experienced member of the Nutrition and Dietetics staff. Most graduates work in the hospital sector, with many specialising in particular clinical areas. Graduates also work in community nutrition, the food industry, private practice, in public health and the public sector, and in research and education. |
