Ms Caroline Nichols

SHERG Research Co-ordinator

Ms Caroline Nicolas is the Research Coordinator for Southern Health Emergency. She works on a range of projects relating to emergency medicine with particular emphasis on heart disease, stroke and pain management.

To date, Caroline has been involved in the development of 19 publications, 21 research proposals and 22 ethics submissions which are considered to be some of her strengths as a researcher.

Caroline has a background in Psychology and has been involved in research for the past 10 years at Monash University, Deakin University and the University of Melbourne. She has previously worked on projects encompassing age-related macular degeneration, child public health and the promotion of quality nursing and patient care.

Caroline’s research interests include the epidemiology of chronic disease, refugee mental health, child public health and ethnicity.
