Flow Cytometry Facility

Flow cytometry is a technique for counting, examining, and sorting microscopic particles suspended in a stream of fluid. It allows simultaneous multiparametric analysis of the physical and/or chemical characteristics of single cells flowing through an optical and/or electronic detection apparatus. The technology has applications in a number of fields, including molecular biology, pathology, immunology, plant biology and marine biology.

The Flow Cytometry Facility provides diagnostic and research flow cytometry services for all scientists and students within the Monash Health Research Precinct. The facility is located at the Department of Clinical Immunology and provides the following services:

Cell Analysis: Mon - Fri: 9.30am - 6.00pm
(After hours access available to trained users)

Cell Sorting: Mon - Fri: 10.30am - 6.00pm
