Judy Tweedie commenced at Monash University as an honorary lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics in February 2002, teaching in the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics course. She brings 23 years’ experience as a clinical dietitian, working in aged care, community health and acute teaching hospitals. She is currently employed at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) as a grade 3 Dietitian where she specialised in renal dietetics for 11 years. She has held management positions within the MMC department of dietetics as deputy manager for 2 years and then acting Manager for 12 months. She has served on the Dietitians Registration Board in its final year of operation (1992-1993), the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) (Victorian Branch) Professional Education Committee 1993 – 1994, was convenor of the DAA (Victorian Branch) Renal Interest Group 1999-2001 and was a member of the Renal Society of Australia Renal Advisory Group – Education (2001). She has focused on teaching and training of dietetic students of the BND course for over 5 years and has achieved a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (2006).
