Andrea commenced as a Lecturer (part time) at Monash University in the Nutrition & Dietetic Unit in 2001. Her career has included working in clinical dietetics for 11 years, including management of the Nutrition & Dietetics Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, community health, private consulting and research.
Her teaching commitments include convener of BND 1010 Human Nutrition: An introduction to Nutrients and BND 2072 Introduction to Health Care Systems. She also has responsibility for rural practice placements for the BND.
Andreas research interests include rural dietetic practice and education including rural workforce issues and the role of nutrition in healthy ageing
