Associate Professor William Hart
As Assistant Dean I'm responsible for the general administration of the Medical School. In addition, with a background in public health, epidemiology and medical psychology, I'm involved in teaching Theme 1 ("Personal and Professional Development") and Theme 2 ("Population, Society, Health and Illness"). Over the past thirty years I've been a public health physician (Assistant Director of Public Health for Victoria), a part-time GP, and Chief Executive of a medical research consortium ("Neurosciences Victoria Ltd. - NSV). On and off over this time, I've been involved in medical and health sciences education, mainly in the fields of medical psychology and community health. After I graduated MBBS (Monash) in 1973 I spent an intern rotation at Gippsland Base Hospital (Traralgon). I'm pleased to come back to help found the new Monash Gippsland Medical School. |
