This clinic will be multi disciplinary with the GP being a vital member. The project will involve researching other such clinics from within Victoria, elsewhere in Australia and possibly worldwide. Once some examples of clinics have been collected a program applicable to the Yarram and community and YDHS staff will be developed and presented to YDHS management.
Placement Parameters
The student will be coupled with community service health professionals and will have a highly observational role. The students will be free to enquire about any of the services provided by YDHS and every effort will be made to help students have time in areas they prefer.
The Hours of the placement will be:
Community Nursing 8-3
Other community Services 9-4.30

The placement will allow students to understand the large role that community service provides to enable clients to remain living at home for longer.
