In Year 5D students undertake a series of six-week rotations. Within the Gippsland Regional Clinical School, positions are available in:
- Latrobe Regional Hospital (Traralgon) - Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and Aged Care
- West Gippsland Healthcare Group (Warragul hospital) - Medicine, Surgery and Emergency
- Bass Coast Regional Health (Wonthaggi hospital) – Surgery and Emergency
Each rotation offer great opportunities to be involved in patient care as part of the “treating team”. Placements in these hospitals also allow students to observe the activities of the hospital medical officers, helping them to decide if they would like to work in the area following graduation.
