Academic Unit of Geriatric Medicine

The AUGM focuses on clinical research in Geriatric Medicine which can be rapidly introduced into clinical practise. The Unit has interests in the utilisation of best evidence, clinical ethics, health care of older people and medical education. It links Southern Health to Monash University in the teaching and training of future health care practitioners and actively promotes translational research as this is an integral part of health care delivery and quality of care.
