Aged Mental Health Research Unit
The research interests of AMHRU include behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia; the care needs of people with dementia from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; caregiver support; depression in residential care and brain stimulation therapies. AMHRU is a partner of the Commonwealth Government's Dementia Collaborative Research Centre with responsibility for identifying non-pharmacological treatments of the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia and then mounting trials of their efficacy.
