Dr Margaret Hellard
Research Fellow
Margaret graduated in Medicine from Monash University in 1986 and undertook
her medical specialist training in infectious diseases at the Alfred and
Royal Melbourne Hospitals. She received her PhD from Monash University
in 2000. Margaret is a Senior Research Fellow in the department and at
the Macfarlane Burnet Centre for Medical Research. She is a visiting specialist
physician in Infectious Diseases at the Alfred Hospital. Her prinicipal
research interests are in the epidemiology of hepatitis C and community
gastroenteritis associated with food and drinking water.
