Rosanne Freak-Poli
BSc, BHealthSci
Research Assistant
Rosanne completed a BHealthSci and a BSci at the University of Adelaide in 2005, with majors in Statistics, Psychology and a double major in Public Health.
Working with Dr Anna Peeters and A/Prof Maxmillian de Courten, Rosanne is involved in the GCC Evaluation study. The study aims to evaluate a four month, low-impact, pedometer-based physical-activity approach, named the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC), by assessing whether participation reduces the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Data will be collected 4 times over an 18 month period to allow longitudinal evaluation of the program’s short and long term effects and to determine predictors of successful participation in the GCC at four months, one year and 18 months. These evaluation results will be used to further improve and tailor workplace interventions.
