Finding Quality on the Internet

The aim of this course is to enable Pharmacists the necessary skills in order to efficiently find quality information on the Internet.

At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Use a range of Internet services to communicate with other pharmacists.
  2. Locate useful websites and catalogues, which are relevant to pharmacists.
  3. Understand the principles of evidence-based practice and critical appraisal.
  4. Determine the quality and relevance of a web site, as well as print literature.
  5. Find specific information by formulating a search strategy for finding on-line information and enacting that strategy.

Each Module will take roughly three hours including exercises.
