Biosketch:
I completed my Biomedical Science – Physiological Genomics Degree in 2002 and in 2003 a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in the Department of Physiology under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Jenny Wilkinson-Berka. During my honours year I evaluated temporal changes in the retinal vasculature of the diabetic transgenic (mRen-2) 27 Rat. Since Nov 2003 I continue to be involved with the Diabetes and Vascular Biology Laboratory as a research assistant while studying for a MBBS at the University of Melbourne. My ambitions are to combine knowledge and skills gained throughout my formal education and research involvement to gain extensive appreciation and understanding of evidence-based medicine.
