Transferring large files to & from

Monash Pathology and Immunology

This facility is offered in response to requests to retrieve large files such as MS PowerPoint presentations when off-site eg at a conference

E-mailing files as attachments that are around 4Mb are considered too large by most mail managers and may often be rejected. Large files not only build up and clog mail servers but are also not reliable or secure.

Using ftp (file transfer protocol) is faster and more acceptible.
