Health Science Teaching

Our Department offers programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for people who want to make a difference with their careers. Health Science graduates work in a wide range of creative areas that contribute to healthy communities, healthy policies and healthy people. Perhaps your preferred career path is managing health services or health programs, or in promoting health and preventing disease and illness, or in the development of healthy policies - whatever your pathway, a Health Science degree from Monash University will give you a solid foundation. The Department of Health Science at Monash University provides ‘new generation’ multidisciplinary degrees where you will learn practical and technical skills with theoretical knowledge to give you strong foundations for a range of occupations.

Health Science graduates will find careers in governments (local, state or federal) and non-government organisations (such as and a wide variety of health industry organisations including community health, health foundations, divisions of general practice, hospitals, public health services), as well as sport, recreation, education, and all types of workplaces in many sectors who employ health science graduates to develop and deliver health and wellbeing programs. Graduates will also work in research, the management of services, policy development, public health and health promotion programs and disease prevention.
