African Population and Health Research Center (ADDR) Workshop

Workshop on 31 August - 4th September 2009

Prof Helen Keleher recently attended the African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship (ADDRF) Workshop held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The ADDR Fellowships are awarded to advanced doctoral students who are within two years of completing their doctoral thesis at an African university. The fellowships are particularly targeted at doctoral students whose research shows great promise of making cutting-edge contributions to governance, equity, health or population-related issued in the region.

Helen was invited to present and participate in a range of seminars and hands-on engagement to help fellows think through their dissertation research and through a range of practical skills such as getting published and grants-writing. Fellows also presented their work in panel sessions for peer feedback.
