International Medical Graduates Clinical Bridging CourseDr George Zaharias, Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Department of General Practice will be conducting a 6 week course held each Tuesday from 9.30am to 5.00pm to assist candidates preparing for Clinical Examinations. Dr Zaharias has a background in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and assessment. He will be assisted by other Monash academic staff, many of whom are AMC examiners. Simulated patients will be involved in the course and provide valuable insight into aspects of illness and health in the Australian context. The course will prepare candidates for the AMC clinical examination and will cover the required areas of Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Psychiatry. There is a focus on the knowledge and skills required for safe and effective practice in the Australian Health Care system. The course will assist candidates in the development of a strategic approach to the clinical examinations. All participants will have the opportunity to participate in role-play scenarios and be reviewed by the course convenor. Enquiries: |
