Dr. Guttmann currently works as a research fellow in the Intelligent Collaborative Care Management (ICCM) project -- a joint project between the British Telecom, England and Monash University. ICCM develops service models to monitor patient outcomes and react adequately to it. His work is on researching dynamic and unreliable behaviour of actors (such as patients) in open complex systems.Dr. Guttmann holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from Monash and two Master degrees from the University Paderborn, Germany, and from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden (and received an annual award for the best Master Thesis on artificial intelligence). He is a program committee member of many international conferences (IJCAI, AAMAS, etc) and journals (AAI), and he is regularly invited to for presentations at institutes and universities, including Harvard University, Stanford Research Institute (SRI), Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS), Technical University of Delft, Utrecht University, University of Magdeburg, University of Duisburg/Essen. He has many years of industry experience working with Hewlett Packard, Ericsson, Onestone Technology (acquired by IBM), and AgentArts Inc. (acquired by Fast Search and Transfer, then by Microsoft).
