Sex and Medicine Symposium
The Sex and Medicine symposium was held at Monash University's Clayton Campus on the 2nd of December, 2003 . The aims of the Symposium were:
- To bring together researchers and clinicians with expertise in sex and medicine
- To provide a forum for interaction that will lead to new perspectives
- To link research about sex and gender to clinical practice
The Vice-chancellor of Monash University, Professor Richard Larkins, provided the opening address and the Dean of Medicine, Professor Edward Byrne, chaired the meeting. Participants from the University of Melbourne, and Queens University in Canada participated in this multidisciplinary event.
