Annual PCL and Anatomy Demonstrator Training

Every year since the commencement of the teaching of the new curriculum Patient Centred Learning Case tutors have received training in the basic concepts of sex and gender difference, a gender perspective in medicine, gender-blindness in the medical evidence and clinical practice. In 2004 the Department of Anatomy recognised the need for their tutors to be trained and requested the same training for their tutors. Concepts have been reinforced by the introduction, in 2004 of a teaching and learning resource designed specifically for medical educators. This training occurs annually.
