Ms Helen Ackland (PhD Student) is looking at thecorrelation of clinical and radiographic findings in acute cervical discoligamentous injury with long term outcomes in road trauma patients.
Mr Cameron Gosling (part-time PhD Student) is investigating various training and lifestyle factors as risk factors for injury in age group triathletes. This project will investigate three areas: perceptions of traithlon coaches to athlete injury; acute injury presentations during competition and a large prospective study of athletes over a one year period to identify intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors for injury. The findings will provide an evidence base for the development of injury prevention strategies for triathletes.
Ms Louisa Lam (PhD Student) is looking at thediagnosis and management of heart failure in the emergency setting.
