Anyone interested in writing their first systematic review.

Aims

To give participants a general introduction to the methods involved in writing a systematic review.

Overview

The course will outline each of the main steps involved in writing a systematic review of the effects of a healthcare intervention, and methods will be explained. Topics will include: defining your question, defining inclusion criteria, searching the literature, appraising the included studies, and an introduction to data analysis. Participants will be able to plan a systematic review, identify the tasks and methods required at an introductory level, and know where to go for further information and assistance with completing a review.
