The aim of this course is to offers practical techniques on clinical aspects of lifestyle-related disease; from nutrition and physical activity to stress, anxiety, depression, sleep and sexual behaviour

Overview

Topics include:

• Introduction to lifestyle medicine

• Epidemiology of lifestyle- related disease

• Motivating patients to comply

• Managing obesity

• Healthy nutrition for metabolic health management

• Physical activity: generic and specific prescription

• Stress, anxiety and depression

• Positive psychology and mental health promotion

• Introduction to the addictions

• Sleep, skin care and sexual behaviour

(Includes professional tools for practical measurements)

Fee

$400 (excluding GST), plus $69 for required text book.
