Aims

The aim of this short course is to provide an understanding of key issues that arise in planning and conducting clinical research.

The focus is on all aspects of clinical research by giving an introduction to design, implementation, analysis, interpretation and reporting of clinical research information.

Overview

The research examples presented are from studies conducted by DEPM staff. The presentations focus on issues like: design of data collection instruments; trial design; research protocol writing; recruitment and consent; data analysis and interpretation, and publishing results.
