Aims

To discuss the nature of vulnerability and how this effects the conduct of ethical research

Overview

Human rights considerations pertinent to research in situations in which the autonomy of potential participants is gravely diminished, for example: refugee populations, people living in poverty, conditions of civil rights violations, war or internal conflict. How should research with vulnerable populations be undertaken, if at all?

Please note Participants include both Monash masters students and Short Course registrants.
The final session from 3.30pm on Day 1 will be for Monash students only.
