*Aims*	The course aims to give a broad overview of the problems raised by chronic diseases in Australia in the early 21st century. It aims to cover major disease groups methods used to measure the occurrence and impact of these conditions methods to manage and prevent these conditions.
*Overview*	The program will include: Burden due to major diseases Cardiovascular conditions Diabetes mellitus Obesity Cancer Health promotion and control of chronic diseases Economics of chronic disease
