Biostatistics for Clinical and Public Health Researchers

DAY 1
Classification of data, summary statistics, quantifying uncertainty in the sample estimate, confidence interval and hypothesis test (comparing two or more methods/groups, assessing association between outcome and exposure, etc.)
DAY 2
Risk comparison, risk prediction (risk for adverse outcome) or identifying risk factors for adverse outcomes and sample size calculation (selection an optimum number of patients for a randomized clinical trial, for example)
(required knowledge of DAY 1 to be able to attend DAY 2 as a standalone course)

Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine

This course trains medical practitioners to become designated aviation medical examiners and is run in conjunction with he Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA). It is also suitable for nurses involved in medical retrieval. This course can also be completed as an elective in many of our postgraduate courses.
