Employment Opportunities with DEPM

Working at DEPM

Located 5km from Melbourne's CBD, within easy access to trams, trains and buses, DEPM is located in the Alfred Hospital's Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP). Location within AMREP offers our staff and students opportunities to collaborate with staff from other research groups, to access the AMREP Education Centre seminar and classrooms, and to use the Ian Potter Library.  It also puts us within walking distance of some great open spaces at Fawkner & Albert Lake Parks, as well as being close to the world famous Chapel St shopping precinct.

Established in 1969 at the Monash University Medical School - Alfred Hospital, DEPM plays a prominent role in public health medicine in Australia. The core skills of the department relate to epidemiology (the study of the distribution, risk factors and causes of disease) and its application to problems in clinical medicine and public health.
