Bing Wang trained in Chemistry (BSc and MSc) and gained a PhD in the Department of Biochemistry, La Trobe University.  His post-doctoral research has been in the area of cellular signalling in cardiac vascular diseases. He also worked as senior research officer at the Baker Heart Research Institute for four years and Cytopia Research Pty Ltd as a Senior Scientist and Head of Molecular Biology group.  During several years at Cytopia, he established a technology platform for drug target discovery and validation, involved in research leading to several patents, and established a cardiac vascular program. His major research interest is signal transduction mechanisms of cardiac vascular diseases such as heart failure and his areas of expertise are molecular and cellular biology, and biochemistry.
