Dr Wang has completed Bachelor and Master degrees in medicine with comprehensive clinical training and worked as a radiologist for seven years in China. She completed a PhD at Swinburne University of Technology in 2007, looking at factors affecting knee cartilage and bone in healthy subjects and those with knee osteoarthritis.
Dr Wang has worked with Professor Cicuttini as a research assistant for several years. She obtained an NHMRC Post Doctoral Fellowship and joined DEPM in 2007. Her research interests lie in the factors affecting knee structure and the effect of sociodemographic and lifestyle factors on the risk of primary and revision joint replacement.
