Associate Professor Christopher ReidBA, DipEd, MSc, CertHealthEcon, PhDAssociate Director of the Monash Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in TherapeuticsPhone +61 03 9903 0752 Chris graduated from the University of Queensland in 1980 before undertaking graduate studies in Exercise Physiology at West Virginia University and a PhD in this Department. Previously Chris was Director of the 2nd Australian National Blood Pressure Study and Program Director of the Australian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons Victorian database. Over the past ten years, his work has lead to the development of a series of clinical tools for general practitioners to assist in the uptake of evidence-based management of both primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. He has been invited to give 8 international and 26 national lectures and has participated as a WHO consultant for prevention of cardiovascular disease in both Mongolia and Vietnam.
