Adrienne O’Neil is assisting with the co-ordination of the Managing cO-mOrbid Depression: Coronary Aftercare Randomized Evaluation (MOOD-CARE) study, a three year randomised controlled trial which investigates the effectiveness of a telephone-delivered intervention (MOODCARE) on health outcomes of depressed heart attack patients at 6 and 12 months. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Public Health (National Heart Foundation Scholar) which investigates depression as a predictor of work outcomes in heart attack patients and further the impact of an intervention like MOOD-CARE on work resumption and productivity. Her academic background is in psychology and sociology and previously she held the position of Research Associate for University Department of Rural Health in Warrnambool, Victoria.
