Jillian Blackman is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Occupational & Environmental Health. Jill has been involved in the Centre's major studies of respiratory health, cancer, and mortality in the aluminium industry, the health of Australia's 1991 Gulf War veterans, and more recently the health and well-being of Australia's ageing Korean War veterans. Jill was awareded an NHMRC post-graduate public health scholarship in 2005 and completed her PhD in 2008. Her thesis was titled 'War stressors, mental health and well-being outcomes in Australian veterans and service personnel'. She is currently involved in assessing the feasibility of conducting a national cohort study of health and mortality in the firefighting industry..
