Hang Li, BSc (Public Health), MSPH, PhD

Visiting Research Fellow

Dr. Hang Li  commenced work with the School's International Public Health Unit on July 1st.  Dr Li will be with us for two years. Dr Li will then return to work for the Beijing Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

The title of his research program is: Beijing's health promotion status and progress - Transferability of the Australian experience to China. Dr Li will be focusing particularly on how to improve the prevention and control of diabetes in China. In the past Dr Li has worked on disease control in relation to the ramifications of earthquakes and has been a Principal Investigator on the effects of health education and influenza vaccines. The Australia-China Exchange (NHMRC) Fellowship overseas training fellowship scheme aims to increase collaboration between Australian and Chinese health and medical research by supporting research exchange between the two countries.
