Taking and sharing responsibility: Citizens making decisions about preventive health.

Project Outline

This projecy is funded by the Bupa Australia Group for 2008 and 2009.  The project will pilot an innovative forum method with a selected group of citizens and stakeholders, that are recruited by different methods, that will identify the issues around prevention and individual responsibility for their health using the National Healthcare and Hospital Reform Commission (NHHRC) report.  This will also identify barriers, gaps and opportunities for both health funders and the government in the future in decision making.

This project and events were run in August 2009 in Parramatta, NSW and updated reports will be placed on the AIHPS website www.aihps.org shortly.
