| The Scientific Committee on Epidemiology
in Occupational Health under the International Commission of Occupational
Health (ICOH) was established in 1980. Since then it has held symposia
in many cities around the world. The aim of the symposium is to bring
together researchers and practitioners working in the field of epidemiology
in occupational health. In 2004 the symposium will be held in Melbourne,
Australia.
LOCATION
Come to Melbourne, Australia, October 13-15 2004 for the 17th International
Symposium on Epidemiology in Occupational Health. Not only will you be
challenged by a stimulating scientific program, but this will be an opportunity
to catch up with friends and colleagues and experience Melbourne’s
cafes, shopping, events, wine and wildlife.
Why not take the opportunity to extend your visit after the conference
and experience the rest of Australia - explore the outback, or the cities,
or discover some of our natural wonders?
VENUE
The symposium will be held at the Carlton Crest Hotel, which is set on
Albert Park lake with its adjacent parklands and sporting facilities,
close to the city centre and some of Melbourne’s premier food and
lifestyle precincts.
ACCOMMODATION
A wide range of accommodation, all within walking distance of the venue,
will be available.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
EPICOH 2004 should appeal not only to people who work in occupational
epidemiology, but to anyone with an interest in the relationship between
work and health.
Doctoral students are particularly encouraged to attend, as there will
be a prize for the best presentation among this group. A special welcome
is extended to our colleagues in the Asia-Pacific region.
