The responsiveness of disability and pain measures in shoulder disorders
Dr Jan Hoving, A/Prof Rachelle Buchbinder, Dr Sally Green
Appropriate assessment of outcome for shoulder disorders is essential in establishing the efficacy of interventions, both in research and clinical practice. Outcomes on disability or functional assessment incorporate the measurement of how the subjects’ impairment impacts on their daily lives. There is a multitude of disability questionnaires available, and none have been used frequently in RCTs. In addition, the clinimetric properties of these disability measures are unknown. The aim of this study is to determine the responsiveness of different outcome measures for shoulder disorders. Publication is currently in preparation for publication.
