Cochrane Collaboration
The Cochrane Collaboration is an international collection of health researchers, clinicians, consumers and health policy makers committed to ideals first espoused by Archie Cochrane. These include a recognition that health care resources will always be limited and that the effectiveness of health care interventions needs to be evaluated by randomised controlled trials. The Cochrane Collaboration has undertaken over 1400 systematic reviews, which are regularly updated and made broadly available through the Cochrane Library. Members of the Department have now contributed eight reviews to the Collaboration and other reviews are currently underway.
