Enrolment process for new domestic (VTAC) students
Download course enrolment instructions Please download the enrolment instructions for your course. These documents contain important information on how to accept or defer your offer, how to enrol once you have chosen to accept your offer for 2012, course and unit information, as well as course-specific requirements.
Choose your units for 2012 (if required) In order to choose your units for the 2012 academic year you need to understand your course structure (in particular your level one requirements), be aware of available areas of study within your course, and units on offer by consulting all available online resources.
Enrol in your units via WES You will then be required to enrol in your units for Semester 1 and Semester 2 online via the Web Enrolment System (WES) (see step 5 of the enrolment process website). You must enrol into units before you attend the University for your course enrolment information session (if applicable) and/or to collect your student ID card. Some courses will have units that are pre-enrolled, which will appear on your WES enrolment. If your course has pre-enrolled units, you will need to confirm your enrolment in these units by ticking the confirm checkbox. Please note: there will be the opportunity to change your unit selection, if required, after you attend your course enrolment information session.
Attend your course enrolment information session (if applicable) You may be required to attend a course enrolment information session where you will be provided with detailed information on the structure of your course. The course enrolment information session will answer most of your questions about what to expect from your course.
Seek course advice (if needed) and apply for credit for previous learning (if applicable) If you require assistance with your selection of units, need advice about your course structure, or are applying for credit for previous study, please consult with your course administrator or course coordinator at your course enrolment information session for course advice before going to the Student Service Centre to obtain your student ID card. This will be the same date and time as specified in your VTAC offer letter. You may choose to change your enrolment in your units after receiving advice.
Collect your ID card at the Student Service Centre The next (and final) step is to obtain your student ID card at the Student Service Centre at the date and time specified in your VTAC offer letter. See step 6 of the enrolment process website.
After enrolment (including timetable and Orientation) After you have enrolled in your units via WES you will need to enter your preferences for your timetable in Allocate+ and attend orientation activities. Please refer to after enrolment for more information.
