Summer Semester Enrolments

Important Faculty Dates

If you wish to complete a unit  over summer semester, you must apply to complete the unit/s no later than Friday 24 October 2008. The relevant application form is available from here, it can also be obtained directly from your teaching department or school, as well as from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Normanby House, Clayton Campus.  You must submit the application at the relevant teaching department or school, offering the unit/s no later than Friday 24 October 2008. 

Unit Enrolment

If you are successful with your application to complete a summer semester unit you will be advised in writing, and will be enrolled during the period 10 October - 4 November 2008. You will not be able to enrol yourself directly on the web, instead you will be able to view your enrolment into the summer unit once the form has been processed.  Late applications may be accepted subject to the availability of places and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Census Dates for Summer Semester

You should note that the last date to discontinue from a summer semester unit/s are listed in the Summer Unit Offering  table. If you do not withdraw prior to this date you will incur the fee for the unit/s, and will receive a withdrawn late or withdrawn-fail on your academic transcript.

Fees for Summer Semester

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SUMMER SEMESTER UNITS MAY ONLY BE TAKEN UNDER A FULL-FEE PAYING ARRANGEMENT.

The fee rate will be based on the summer semester unit which you complete.

If you are an Australian citizens, humanitarian visa holders, or a domestic full fee paying student you may also have the option of accessing FEE-HELP for any unit(s) enrolled over summer semester. The request for FEE-HELP assistance form must be completed by the 30 November 2008.

Unit Cancellation

Every effort will be made to ensure the unit on offer will run. However, this unit may be cancelled up to one week prior to its commencement if there are insufficient enrolments. If the unit is cancelled all students enrolled in it will be advised in writing prior to the commencement of the unit.
