The Bachelor of Social Work is an accelerated two-year course, taught at 3rd and 4th year levels.  Students normally enrol full-time on-campus and part-time off campus.  Variations are possible, as is a mixture of on-campus and off-campus units.  Departmental permission is required for anything but a standard full-time enrolment.

Change to enrolment mode from on-campus to off-campus in any unit must be approved two weeks before the off-campus workshops in a particular unit (February for first semester subjects; June for second semester subjects).  All units in the Bachelor of Social Work degree are compulsory.  Course structure and requirements are explained on the Department of Social Work webpage.

For full unit descriptions refer to the University Handbook.

BA/BSW students: Details for the Arts component of your double degree can be found in the Undergraduate Handbook.  Please email arts-student-services@monash.edu if you have enquiries about arts units.

Please note that you must meet all the unit prerequisites rules, and must abide by the relevant Faculty's rules and regulations.  It is also your responsibility to ensure that your elective choices do not clash with your core unit timetable.  You must also ensure that your choices meet course requirements.
