Organisations that host clinical and community placements require students to have current Police and Working with Children checks regarding their suitability to undertake such placements. All enrolled students in occupational therapy are required to have valid checks in place and these can be initiated by following the instructions at: Course Advice If you wish to discuss your unit selection with academic staff go to Building G, Level 4 Reception or visit Student Administration Services in Building B. Elective unitsYou must key your chosen elective units directly into the web reenrolment system. It is recommended that you seek elective units that can be studied off –campus/ by distance education as this will better accommodate fieldwork requirements in your core units. You can choose to study elective units in your own area of interest. However where you are considering a unit that is not in the fields of the health or social sciences you should discuss your selection with the occupational therapy course coordinator before enrolling. Please note that you must meet all the unit prerequisites rules, and must abide by the relevant Faculty's rules and regulations. It is also your responsibility to ensure that your elective choices do not clash with your core unit timetable. New Electives offered
