Enrolment process for new international students
Choose your units for 2012In order to choose your units for the 2012 academic year you need to understand your course structure (in particular your level one requirements), be aware of available areas of study within your course, and units on offer by consulting all available online resources.
Attend your course enrolment sessionAt the compulsory course enrolment session you will be provided with detailed information on the structure of your course, how to choose the units you will study in 2012, the support available to you at the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and how to access Monash online information and services.
Enrol in your units with the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health SciencesAfter your course enrolment information session, staff from the Schools and Departments of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences will be available for course advice and to assist you with understanding course rules and selecting units you will study in 2012. You will complete your unit enrolment with your course administrator by completing a course enrolment form.
Apply for credit for previous learning (if applicable)If you are seeking credit for previous studies that has not already been approved, then you will need to complete the Credit Application form. You must attach relevant documentation such as original or certified copies of academic transcripts and copies of course and unit outlines. Unit outlines must be reasonably comprehensive and include the unit synopsis, contact hours, and assessment for the unit. The form must be submitted to your course administrator as soon as possible so the credit can be assessed by enrolment day. Failure to bring the required information may delay the assessment of your application and subsequently affect your enrolment. For further information on how to apply and the maximum amount of credit that you can be granted please refer to the Faculty’s credit policy.
Collect your ID cardThe next (and final) step is to obtain your student ID card at the Student Service Centre after you have enrolled with your course administrator. Please see step 6 of the University enrolment website.
After enrolmentAfter you have enrolled in your units you will need to enter your preferences for your timetable in Allocate+, and attend orientation activities. Please refer to after enrolment for more information.
