Enrolment load

Enrolment load is measured in EFTSL (Equivalent Full Time Student Load). A full time student will normally be enrolled in 1 EFTSL (48 credit points). An EFTSL of less than .75 (36 credit points) is defined as a part-time study load. Enrolment in units in excess of degree requirements (for undergraduate students only)

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences does not normally permit students to undertake units in excess of their degree requirements. Students wishing to enrol in extra units are required to seek approval from their course administrator. Units taken in excess of those required to meet degree regulations may be charged at the full fee rate and treated as non-award study.
