Student Academic Support Unit (SASU)

SASU is an academic unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences with staff at the Clayton and Peninsula campuses and associated clinical sites. The unit's teaching programs provide assistance to undergraduate students to develop professional communication skills and academic skills attuned to the demands of their disciplines.  Particular emphasis is placed on the needs of international students and local students with English as a second language.

Classes on topics such as academic writing, oral presentation skills, and clinical communication skills are advertised through course convenors and Blackboard.

Students are also encouraged to drop-in to the office or phone or e-mail to make an appointment for individual assistance.
