Staff Profiles - Tangerine Holt

Tangerine received her doctorate from the University of Melbourne. She recently relocated from the USA to accept the position of senior lecturer at CMHSE. Prior to coming to CHMSE, she was an Assistant Professor at the Kent School of Social Work, Kentucky, USA. She was responsible for the development of the advanced macro practice curriculum for final year MSSW students, online course development, and revision of the school’s course evaluation. She was also the Principal Investigator and Project Director of a federally funded interdisciplinary training program across the social work, medical, dental, nursing, and public health schools. In 2003 this program received the National Academies of Practice Interdisciplinary Group Recognition Award in the USA. Her professional interests include curriculum development, interdisciplinary training in medically underserved and rural health professional shortage areas, macro practice issues, scale development, and program evaluation.
As part of her academic role at CMHSE, she will serve as the Convener of the Community Partnerships Program, support the development of undergraduate education in the faculty, and serve as faculty in the Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education.
