Background:

Beverley has extensive experience in both postgraduate and undergraduate education in nursing and across a range of health science disciplines. She was a Kellogg Fellow and holds Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Public Health degrees from Columbia University in New York. She is currently completing her PhD in the area of Nursing Informatics. 

Beverley practised in the United States as a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and, together with a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner, managed and expanded a Health Care Centre for the Homeless in Mid-Town Manhattan.

Beverley's research expertise includes both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She has been project officer for a number of projects undertaken by the Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education at Monash University. From 2006 to 2007 she played a major role in data collection and data management for the two DEST funded national Medical Education Studies that focussed on What makes for success in Medical Education. Beverley has extensive experience is survey, interview and focus group methodologies in both clinical and educational contexts.
