Background:
Andrea joined Monash in 2006 from University of Melbourne. Her academic background is in Applied Linguistics and Education. She has seventeen years experience providing language development through discipline specific content. This includes development, coordination and implementation of a three-year immersion program in Japan, under and post-graduate student support in biomedical science in both clinical and campus based settings, and the development, administration, delivery and assessment of programs and credit bearing subjects at under and post-graduate levels. In her time at Monash, Andrea has developed programs and curriculum to support the teaching and learning of clinical communication skills
Research Interests:
A key area of investigation is into spoken communication and the direct relationship between discourse features and their effects in social interaction.
